Nim 1.0 was released 2019. Python3 was released 2008, Go 1.0 2012, Typescript 1.0 2014, Rust 1.0 2015, Kotlin 1.0 2016. It might be premature to judge Nim's popularity, respective timelines considered. At the same time language options are probably nicer in 2022 compared to 2010, so it will be harder to take off. |
