Tell HN: We Need a Distributed GitHub

Although Git is a distributed version control system, GitHub controls most of the open source community. GitHub is a centralized community that is now under Microsoft's control. This is pretty bad. My GitHub account has been flagged. I can't do anything without GitHub. See https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34059645. So I think we need a distributed open source community that can't be controlled by anyone, like Bitcoin and other things.

Legally as a 12 year old you're not even allowed to use hackernews. https://www.ycombinator.com/legal/ Github as US company had no choice but to lock your account.

Self-hosting costs are too high, and it is hard to maintain.
