I wouldn't use "believe" in the context. Catholic church does not specifically endorse evolution, but it finds no conflict between scientific concept of evolution and its teachings. I would call it "acceptance". Many small Pentecostal and evangelical churches gain a lot of media attention thanks to their conservatism, fundamentalism and obscure views. Fortunately, they do not constitute the majority of Christians worldwide (at least not yet). |
