Well said! When you want to argue with someone for they joy of arguing; because vigorous discourse is enjoyable for itself, then trivial things like "vi vs. emacs" are great subjects for debate. It seems that some never appreciated the "joy of argument" motivations and assumed that holy wars were a valid means of personal expression and useful for community building. |
