You are thinking too narrowly. Everyone dies of something - you don't save lives, you delay death. The older people are the more likely they will have multiple chronic things to be treated - diabetes, arthritis etc . This is one of the challenges that society hasn't quite got to grips with yet - and it's why health care costs are climbing ever upwards. |
