I've used Emacs for years now. What I like about it is how little I have to use the mouse. Actually, I don't have to use the mouse at all, but sometimes I'm just lazy.
It's all keyboard, baby. :) Once you get used to the keybindings you can keep a steady flow and concentrate on your work, in contrast to pretty much all modern IDEs which are mouse driven. |
