What he probably meant is that Command+C is copy, etc.

You can’t easily do that because every Linux program expects different things. The hack to make it work is to switch keyboard configs when you switch the application, I think. It’s far from ideal.

Just posting here too, I've plugged into evdev to remap keys so the keybindings work on all apps and in gnome Wayland. https://github.com/csumtin/cua
