> Everyone I've talked to who's concerned about that has been a professor at a community college (or other affordable school). At public institutions, "non-PhD-granting" is typically a better heuristic than "community college". At private institutions, tuition-dependence and acceptance rate is a good heuristic -- "do I need the tuition dollars to survive and am I already scraping the barrel on my customer base? If so, I better focus on the customer!" |
