Of course there are legitmate use-cases; I enable a few myself. BUT--I also know exactly where to go in my browser settings to edit my preferences, should I ever accidentally click "yes" on a bad prompt that starts blasting me with ads and phishing attempts. The thing is, many non-technical users don't even know where or how notifications really show, much less how to edit/remove them. |
