"I will be a health(ier) weight, if I continue to put the effort in. And who knows?" Fit and normal people don’t put any effort. As long as you’ll see this as an effort/reward thing you will fail. My advice : focus on eating normally every day. 3 meals / day. Don’t focus on long term goals. |

For many people (presumably OP as well), what you are describing is very much "effort". There are many "normal" people who have to put in a lot of effort to just eat three meals a day and nothing else. Food is very often a coping mechanism for handling stress, etc. Eating literally causes their body to release chemicals that make them feel better, and replacing that coping mechanism with something else is something that require a significant amount of ongoing effort. It's (truly) great that this isn't your experience, but that doesn't mean it isn't the reality many other people are living with every day.
