the more 'actionable' Naval-ism that helps me is "If you can't be happy with a coffee, you won't be happy with a yacht." somehow this makes me naturally gauge if I'm enjoying the present as a question "am I enjoying this coffee / new fountain pen / crunchy leaves?" and I actually feel the happiness bubble up in sensory focus. Doesn't last long yet works for me. |
