Ahh, I just reread _Soul_! One thing I noticed this time through was the politics and (mostly absent?) leadership from the executives. E.g., the input from the CEO was basically "no mode bit". I couldn't appreciate those things on the first pass as a young engineer. To quote "Novell CEO Eric Schmidt" (heh) from the linked Wired article[0], > [...] and it did a good job of getting into the psychology of leadership.
