It also removes things related to security of the actual device and possibly network if something bad spreads. It removes things such as: Windows Defender It also removes "Restore Points & System Reset", so I guess that when it breaks you have to do a fresh install. A very significant portion of my family tech support has been about Windows Defender grinding systems to a half by keeping disk IO constantly at 100% in laptops with HDDs.
