1) Their uptime was great. Regardless of what happened to their uptime after that (when they got to >1B MAU), they were already bigger than Twitter at that point, so... 2) Public broadcasts make a lot of things easier because that means more of your workload is relatively straightforward caching (as evidenced by this blog post). |
