Years ago, my wife and I were in Rome and blindly walked into some restaurant with “taverna” in the name. We were thinking of Greece and just assumed ~$$. Boy were we wrong. When we opened the menu we saw quail eggs with white truffles from Alba for like 1300 euros! |
