you are over 50 right? who in their right mind will work overtime during peak season with a damocles sword over his head. you are getting paid to do normal work not overtime and go beyond. you do exceed expectations because you want a raise or promotion and you sacrifice your time and family life for that. now knowing that you are likely to get fired next quarter (because layoffs are NOT about performance) changes the deal quite a bit... No one mentioned working overtime except for you. If you want to work overtime then you do you!!
I can’t imagine being so lazy that you still go to work and collect. A pay check but don’t do any work for the company and just work in your resume as you suggest.
There is a happy medium between working overtime and doing no work at all.
Hopefully you’ll find some work life balance in your life, because work really can be fun and fulfilling if you are lucky and work at it.
