The place is in today's Pakistan. The ancient culture https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indus_Valley_Civilisation was present in what is today Pakistan and India.

Why? It's in Pakistan. The modern country of India didn't exist back then, and nor is the city even located in modern day India.
