You can skimp on the extras, but you cannot skimp on the basics. It’s their fault for hiring him after all. Not his fault for coming to the US and trusting them.

I agree, even if he gets the same benefits, he is still left in very bad place.

Yes. Hence why I expect him to get at least the basics of the deal. Obviously he’s not getting any extra money for years worked.
