It seems the 2015 Zuck is limited by what's familiar to him and utterly failing to see the potential of new technology. To him, VR/AR is just a realm in which to deploy the same apps, a market to capture, annex Unity to protect themselves (at the probable expense of everyone else - glad that didn't work out). The idea of a large, shared environment as a platform for heterogeneous development seems to have never occurred to him. No vision. |
