* The Regex Coach (useful if you work with regular expressions)

* Notepad++ (text editing)

* Beyond compare (visual diff)

* XnView (image viewer)

* putty (SSH/SCP)

* Sysinternals pack (various system tools)

If someone likes Total Commander, they might want to try FreeCommander (which is roughly the same thing, but free).
