Interesting story.

I worked with a lady who insisted that the government bugged street lamps with microphones powerful enough to record words said in nearby buildings and the COVID jab was to monitor your body and execute commands when needed.

Silly until you learn she’s a mom, wife, and voter.

The paranoid know a little something about what's going on though. It doesn't take being paranoid to deem smartphones as an always-on wiretap that knows everything about you, including your heart rate.
That's like me wearing my SmartWatch and then proclaiming "IT KNOWS MY HEART RATE AND IT'S TRANSMITTING IT"

Like, no shit, that's what I want it to do.

My opinion is that the only reason of why governments don't do these is that there is no way to transmit signals from those points. I'm pretty sure that some street lamps do exactly this.
