All of the sudden with Musk's takeover of Twitter and the tech crunch causing layoffs in many companies we have senior engineers and managers suggesting that maybe engineers shouldn't enjoy all the "perks" of the industry like not working 50+ hs, accept low-ball offers from recruiters or even forget about office perks like _free coffee_. I'm sure they are savoring this moment when they can "put the peasants on their place" but if they keep pulling the rope they are going to find themselves with a tech union that will grind their businesses to a halt forever |
