What would one do with a mass-produced model and accompanying mass-produced NFT? What could the relationship possibly be between an action figure and a unique number?

This is NFT in the guise of a collectible's CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. And maybe also in the function of a KEY to access fungible digital assets.

In either case, the NFT is an object that must be indefinitely maintained: there is a cost-of-upkeep in the form of network transaction costs. A certificate or a key also have associated cost-of-upkeep, however this cost is not fixed and falls quickly. Is this a wise trade-off, profit-wise?
