And are those features going to be developed in the best possible way? If I had ideas for how to revamp a service I would talk to the people who knew how it worked and come up with a plan to develop those features and make a big deal about every feature that got launched. I can also imagine hacking something into production this weekend and getting fired next week. I can't see how demanding big changes like this in a week will result in anything but massive technical debt.
