This is true of any platform to be honest. You could be a terrible writer and still do well on sites like Medium or Substack. Be a terrible musician and do well on Spotify or SoundCloud. Be a terrible artist and do well on all sorts of platforms. Whether people like it or not, the production values involved in a piece of work have only the loosest correlation to whether it'll do well. |
