I've observed this, but it doesn't bother me. I get it if it was for actually taking a ride, you'd want to match the driver and car. For food, if someone has my food, I don't really see any reason to dig further into it. What are you worried could happen? |

Imagine you're sitting outside, looking confused and waiting for your food to be delivered. Someone from a car asks you to approach their car, without providing any context of delivery/my name/etc. I've had this exact interaction many times, and I could imagine someone feeling unsafe in that kind of situation.
