Then you may need to consider the possibility of a "100x" programmer in your scale. The "best of the best" that I know are, say, 10x better at embedded C code than they are at CRUD web apps. The best CRUD programmers I know can't hold a candle to the best embedded programmers in their domain and vice versa. At the high end of proficiency, programming is not a commodity. Specialization matters. |
