Of course you can. I'm freelance and code-review & tricky-bug-fixing is practically all I do. And I'm quite good at it. Clients devs are usually stuck in fixed ways of thinking so it makes sense to bring in an outsider to dig into the code in ways they couldn't have predicted. The trick is this: after reviewing enough code, you develop an intuition to where bugs are hiding. |
