Yeah, I'm not so sure the Great Asset Bubble (1982-2022) was any better. Keeping inflation low keeps long rates low which keeps money cheap which blows up asset bubbles. We probably need closer to a 5% inflation target than a 2% inflation target. But very likely what will happen next is a massive recession and the Fed will once again cut rates to zero. |
