How did you get to that high number?

29,000,000,000 / 29,145,505 (population) = ~$995 savings per person over 12 years

$995 / 12 years = ~$83 per year

$83 / 12 months = less than $7 per month per person.

Am I missing something?

The parent post calculation was per customer, i.e. household not per person.

Using the population is not correct. Most people live with another and surely children do.
