Of all the things that this site could be accused of, "conservative" in general is perhaps the most surprising.

I think most people are cheering its demise because they prefer more informed sources of news in general over Twitter. I'm here because I like long form articles, thoughtful discussion, and hands-on, context-specific moderation, all of which is missing at Twitter.

You make good points about having empathy for the employees who work there. Looking at this through another lens is helpful, those of the employees at Twitter.
