I don’t know why you think that’s odd. Imagine an incredibly rare disease you’ve barely heard of. How much do you honestly care about it being cured? Now imagine you have that disease. Are you still as ambivalent? Most people don’t care that deeply about the things that don’t affect them (or their friends/family). |
