If you’re interested in this odd Australian time zone, Lord Howe Island (10km long, population 350, hundreds of kilometres east of the mainland) also has its own time zone for half the year.

That’s what I expected this article was going to be about. Lord Howe Island’s DST adjustment is 30 minutes rather than 60.
Herron Island, another part of Australia, can be walked around in half an hour at a dawdle, and it has two time zones.
