For the record, talc doesn’t seem to be dangerous on its own. The problem is the geology of many talc deposits. Anywhere talc has formed metamorphically, it naturally co-occurs with asbestiform minerals. [1] As a result, talc mined from these sources is unavoidably subject to asbestos contamination.
