Exciting! I've happily used elpy [0] for years but it seems to be unsupported now. Might be time to switch!

elpy+jedi has been my main environment. LSP was really slow every time I tried it.

Emacs used to have poor json support, which is why lsp was slow. That got fixed a version or two ago, and now lsp works great.
