I am of the same opinion but I've seen some adopted kids (brought to the first world) who are more than ready to throw away the adopted family and all the goodwill thrown their way just to get a chance of getting with their biological parents (third world, not well off) regardless of how the latter might not want to have any connection.

Sometimes it seems our base instinct make for the undoing of the quote "the covenant of brotherhood is thicker than the water of the womb" sadly
