> I suppose my church chose it because they wanted to have communion with thousands of people. I suspect the driving force behind them (especially the last couple of years) is the issue of communicable disease with a shared cup, not convenience/scale. Churches that do shared cup tend to have to suspend it during intense flu seasons, and the COVID pandemic forced extended suspension of the practice in most churches. |
