This is like curb cuts: essential to people who need it, merely useful to people who don't. I can't use an app that won't let me turn off animations or make them user-initiated. There was a long gap where I couldn't use Telegram because they added animated stickers without a way to turn them off for months. Framing it as an accessibility issue makes it harder to remove. |
