This question extends to the likes of GPT-3/SD etc which generate text and images based on statistics and probability of things they have learned with no 'understanding'. We can explain how and why they generate a particular piece. You already agree and the point I was making is that we might be able to call GPT-15 conscious or at least won't be able to say that it's not. |
