I can’t get it working, as soon as I switch Wi-Fi off and use 5G on my phone, it can’t find the share called mylaptop.local. How did you set it up?

Mac laptop? ".local" seems to from mDNS that requires multicast that currently doesn't work in Tailscale: [1], [2], [gh].

Yeah, was wondering what to use for SMB hostname which would work on Tailscale. Does the Mac even listen on the Tailscale interface?

I am using the 100.x.x ip assigned to my mac by Tailscale as the hostname.

Interesting, and normal user/pw or does it have to be like mbp.local/myuser?

Just the normal username password.
