I think this is definitely traditionally true, and there are people making big bucks in the SAP space - contract rates can be high for geniuses. What's changing is that open standards mean that the wider tech community can integrate into SAP. This both commoditises the business, drives rates down and makes it more accessible. I suspect that in 10 years time we will see a very different Enterprise IT market. |
