One reason to sell a side-project is the developer lacks effective marketing ability and is not making any money. Basing the value of a project on revenue, suggests such a project is worthless. Clearly that is not necessarily so. Relying on revenue to determine value is a cop-out avoiding the difficult task of envisioning the future. Unfortunately, people who can envision the future are hard to come by. |
