This reminds me of the CargoLifter https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CargoLifter They wanted to create a fleet of LTA vessels some 20 years ago, but never made it beyond a reduced-scale prototype and eventually had to file bancruptcy after using up all their investors' money. The only thing that remains is an impressively huge hangar in the middle of nowhere near Berlin, which is used as an indoor resort today. |
