Siddharth Vardarajan, the founder editor of The Wire magazine which has published these articles, is an internationally reputed journalist who went on to become the national editor of one of India's largest and most reputed english daily newspaper (The Hindu). He studied in London School of Economics and Columbia University, has taught at New York University and still does at University of California, Berkley.
So forgive me for not believing your claim (based on someone else's weak claim) that his magazine is peddling fake news.
It's basic journalism to vet any source and have their claims verified (through other sources and methods), which 'The Wire' is known to do even more diligently than other indian media outlets. Moreover, if this was actual fake news Meta / FB would have immediately sued The Wire to have their articles taken down immediately and also filed defamation suits against them.
Both of the links that you are sharing have no strong point to support your claim. Basically you are saying those screenshots are fake by quoting another person who is saying the same.
I agree, Meta has never done anything like this before. Fully transparent and honest organization, its always working for best interest of people and democracies.
Oh lets just take a claim made by a clearly biased publication (thewire.in) as the truth and say how bad the Indian Govt and Meta is and how they are stifling speech of dissenters.

workplace.com is owned by Meta. So who knows if they are running their own intranet instance for themselves. They dont need to pay big bucks to anyone to cause a fake redirect.
