Important to note that the Soviet Union was forcibly exporting food from Ukraine throughout the Holodomor.

There was food to eat, the Soviet Union just stole it. It was a man-made famine. Literal mass murder.

Wikipedia cites different sources that agree while the total toll was eight to ten million lives, only three to five were ethnic Ukrainians, others were Kazakhs and Russians. [1] It certainly was a terrible crime, but it does not look like it was targeted to Ukrainians only.
