I don't think. Ok, this isn't that big of a benefit.

I don’t think this is quite correct. https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/artIII-S3-C2-... for further reading, but non citizens owe temporary allegiance to the United States while residing within US, and can be charged with treason.
