Same. After being with android for about 10 years I ran out of options. Samsungs are bloatware and blow up. OnePlus used to be good but now they are just another phone. Google's have poor battery and stuttery behavior. It's sad really. But iPhones are the only option remaining.

For battery, Samsung Note7 explosion was a terrible failure, so it looks like Samsung is now conservative for phone battery. Chinese phone manufacturers advertise extremely fast charging like 80W or even 180W for a phone while Samsung stuck at 45W. I'm fearing those extreme high watts on Chinese phone.
The irony of this comment given the other article on the front of HN [0]. It feels like most of the commentary here is apologetic to the Android ecosystem for all the failures. But Apple has had plenty and will continue to make mistakes, just like every other vendor.

Yeah every major manufacturer have experience with explosion due to Li-ion technology. It is fair that Note7 was especially terrible failure, but I think avoid Samsung due to that is not rational. Their report is well written.
