My big takeaway from that book was to automate and outsource as much of your work as you can. I think the key difference between when the book was published and now, is the advancement of A.I. You might be able to use A.I. to reduce the amount of work you have to outsource.
IMHO, Tim Ferris has created a pretty effective writing style/format. His books are filled with a lot of anecdotes and abbreviations, but not a ton of substantial information. His books are more like motivational speeches then actual "how-to" books.
