I'm having the exact same experience, also with Thai funny enough, and the best way to describe it to me is like this: It feels like when I was a small kid learning to read for the first time. You see a bus driving by, and you now recognize a few letters, and then you mentally try to "compress" the letters into a word and suddenly: Woop! This bus is headed for Minburi! There's a little jolt of joy in that moment of recognition. Curious, why are you learning Thai?
