Due to Singtel gutting Optus's onshore support service Optus has been losing market share for years and has had to rely on heavy discounting. In 2021 they posted a $208m net loss. This is probably the end for Singtel in retail telecommunications in Australia, and I don't know who would buy their network now that TPG and Vodafone have merged. They may just convert it to a much smaller wholesale only operation. |
